Ayurvedic massages

Ayurveda is a holistic system of natural medicine which has its roots 6,000 years ago in India and means "knowledge (see) of life (ayus)".

According to Ayurveda, the human body and everything around it is influenced by the three doshas, which are the three vital substances: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. To be healthy we must have all three doshas in balance and this is precisely the purpose of Ayurvedic massages, working on the most sensitive energy points located on the body (the Marma points) and on the energy channels (the Meridians).

The latter are aimed at any person, of any age, as long as they are in good health.

Ayurvedic massages are performed mostly with the hands, otherwise hot bags with herbs, stones or Tibetan bells are also used. The movements and products used change according to the characteristics of the person being massaged, such as build, problems, emotional situation, etc ...

They are indicated in case of:

  • insomnia
  • stress
  • fatigue
  • voltage
  • in the presence of minor problems

They are not indicated in case of:

  • cancer
  • during the first 3 months of pregnancy
  • just after eating
  • in the presence of heart problems and asthma
  • with ongoing infections
  • for those who have had or are at risk of thrombosis
  • during menstrual days

Stone massage

Full body massage with abundant warm oil and essential oils, which also includes face and head.

The movements are light and rhythmic, first manual and then with the use of volcanic stones. Then the last minutes of the massage are dedicated to rebalancing the body's chakras.

This massage is not aimed at dissolving muscle tension, but at reaching a state of total mental relaxation and energy rebalancing. Although it is scientifically proven that muscle tensions often improve when the person is able to reach a state of total mental relaxation.

Sound massage

Strictly spiritual massage that goes to rebalance the chakras and energy channels of the body thanks to the vibrations given by the sound of Tibetan bells.

The Tibetan bells have the beautiful characteristic of putting you in contact with the silence inside you, bringing tranquility with their vibrational power that expands from the outside inwards and spreads throughout the body.

The vibrations produced by their sound, in turn make the water contained in the cells of the body vibrate (bone, muscle, nerve cells, etc ...), they also help to relax the nervous system and to loosen any energy blocks created by situations of stress and anxiety.

Herbal sachet massage

This massage has a more physical purpose than the other Ayurvedic massages because it is mainly recommended in case of muscle fatigue, pain or strains. In fact, performed before a massage with strong manual movements, it prepares the contracted muscles, relaxing them.

It is performed with the use of small bags, also called bundles, containing chopped herbs and soaked in hot oil.

The properties of the herbs are released thanks to the heat of the oil and, by massaging the bags with more or less fast movements, they reach the skin, whose pores, dilated by the heat, are ready to receive them.

Depending on the need, this massage can have an anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, stimulating effect on the blood circulation, relaxing the muscles or the mind.
